Professor at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (since 1957), the Queen Sofia Superior School of Music in Madrid, and International Piano Foundation at Lake Como, Italy; among today’s foremost pianists and pedagogues. Winner of Marguerite Long competition in Paris, he has performed with Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic, l’Orchestre de Paris, Israel Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Gewandhaus Orchestra, Vienna Symphony, among many others, under Barbirolli, Barenboim, Sawallisch, Mehta, Masur, Szell, Kurt Sanderling, Rozhdestvensky, Markevitch, and others. Master classes the world over: at Salzburg Mozarteum, Gilmore and Verbier festivals, Paris Conservatory, Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Mannes College in New York. Adjudicated such competitions as the Richter in Moscow, Horowitz in Kiev, Rubinstein in Tel Aviv, Santander, Leeds, Minneapolis. Studied with Anastasia Virsaladze in Tiflis, Georgia, and later with Alexander Goldenweiser at Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. |

Victor Derevianko,

Professor of Piano at Israel Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University. Graduate of Gnessin Music Institute, Moscow; studied with Heinrich Neuhaus and Maria Yudina, with whom he recorded works by Bartok and Stravinsky for two pianos. Has given recitals throughout Europe and USA. As a member of Vidom Trio, recorded the entire trio, violin-piano, and cello-piano works by Brahms as well as the composer's sonatas for piano. Has taught master classes at Juilliard and Manhattan Schools in New York, University of Maryland, Gnessin Institute in Moscow, Karlsruhe Hochschule in Germany and others.
Last year, on a sabbatical from Tel-Aviv Music Academy, served as Pro-Rector of Music Department at the Maimonides State Classical Academy in Moscow.
His transcription for a chamber group of the Shostakovich Fifteenth Symphony was published by Sikorski and recorded with Gidon Kremer for DGG. |

Internationally celebrated Israeli representative of today's younger pianist generation. Has performed with the Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dallas, Saint Louis, Houston, Baltimore and Vancouver Symphonies, Los-Angeles and Israel Philharmonics, the Israeli Symphony Rishon LeZion, Orchestre National d'Ile de France and other orchestras under Zubin Mehta, Leon Fleisher, Peter Oundjian, Klaus Peter Flor, Raphael Fruhbeck de Burgos and Yoel Levi. Recitals at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as the 92 street "Y", the Phillips Collection and Strathmore Hall in Washington, DC, the Dame Myra Hess series in Chicago, as well as in London (Purcell room), Moscow (Kremlin), Tel Aviv (Museum) and Jerusalem (Symphony Hall). Also played at the Santa Fe, Marlboro, Ravinia, Verbier and Ruhr Festivals and was featured on BBC Radio 3's "Young Artists Forum". For two years was artist-in-residence at the Theo Lieven International Piano Foundation in Como Italy. Studied with Tal Schwartz, Victor Derevianko and Arie Vardi in Israel and later with Leon Fleisher in the US. Served as Fleisher's assistant at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore - later held the Performance Fellow position at London's Guildhall School. |

Doctor of Musical Arts degree, Juilliard School. Soloist with Israel Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein, Carlo Rizzi, Sidney Harth and others, as well as with other Israel’s orchestras. Recitals in USA, Europe, and Israel. Recorded on CD late piano sonatas by Schubert. Collaborated in concert with Isaac Stern, Natalia Gutman, Ileana Cotrubas, among others. Took part in numerous international chamber-music festivals. Faculty member, Suolahti Summer Academy, Finland. Taught master-classes at Juilliard, Mannes International Keyobard Institute and Festival, Paris Conservatory, London Royal Academy of Music, Queen Sofia School in Madrid, Berlin Universität der Künste, Oberlin College, Copenhagen Royal Music Academy, Stockholm U. Since 1998, Visiting Professor, Shenzhen Arts School. Has given master classes in Britain, Germany, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore. Collaborated in concert with such artists as Pierre Amoyal, Siegfried Behrend, Eugene Fodor, Roberta Peters, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Aaron Rosand, Richard Stoltzman, among many others. Served on the juries of many international competitions: Vianna da Motta, Gina Bachauer, Rome, Hong Kong, the China International Competition, etc. Studied with Guy Jonson and later with Louis Kentner at the Royal Academy of Music in London; was elected a Fellow of the Academy in 2003. His students, many among them top-prize winners in contests, lead distinguished careers the world over.

Has been heard in concerts on four continents, in such festivals as Tanglewood, Norfolk, San-Isidro in Madrid, Sofia Music Weeks, Varna Summer, Israel Festival and others. Recorded for radio and TV in USA, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Israel and Eastern Europe. Has performed with all the orchestras in Israel, including the Israel Philharmonic, conducted by Zubin Mehta. In 2006, joined the Israel Piano Trio, one of the country’s leading chamber ensembles. Born in Israel, he studied with Naomi Lev, Victor Derevianko and Arie Vardi, then in USA with Gilbert Kalish. Holds Doctor of Musical Arts degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Performs extensively in Russia and abroad - as soloist with orchestras, recitalist and in chamber ensembles. His professional mastery, pianistic skills and sense of ensemble have been befittingly appraised by such well-known conductors as V. Gergiev V. Jordaniya, D. Kakhidze, F. Mansurov. Recorded several discs. Taught master classes in France, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, Finland, Israel and Portugal. Among his pupils are over 30 laureates of different international and national competitions. He repeatedly was jury member and chairman of various international and national competitions. He cooperates with publishing house “Muzika” as an editor. Born in Erevan; graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where studied with Bella Davidovich; postgraduate work at the Gnessin Institute under Alexander Yokheles.

Internationally acclaimed Russian pianist and professor at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. A scion of an illustrious musical family, he won second prize at both the Van Cliburn and the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competitions. Has appeared with such orchestras as Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, Los Angeles Symphony, Washington National Symphony, among many others. His repertoire includes about fifty solo programmes and fifty-five concertos. For the past twelve years has had his own series at the Moscow Conservatory, "Nicolai Petrov Plays". His teachers were T. Kestner at the Moscow Central Music School and Professor Yakov Zak at the Moscow Conservatory.

Winner, the Naumburg piano competition, New York; silver medal in the Queen Elisabeth competition in Brussels. Played in US, Europe, South America, the Middle- and Far-East. Performed chamber music with Rudolf Firkušný, Martha Argerich, Ivry Gitlis, Pina Carmirelli, Mischa Maisky, among others. Took part in Argerich's festivals in Beppu (Japan), Buenos Aires, and Lugano. Participated in the Marlboro chamber-music festival in Vermont, USA. Has recorded for Vox, Pavane, Deutsche Grammophon, Sony, Phonic, Fidelio, and Brilliant labels.
Studied with Rudolf Firkušný at the Juilliard School in New York, where earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree. In his youth, studied classical guitar with advice and encouragement from Andres Segovia.

Professor of piano at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and chairman of the keyboard department. Previously held leading teaching positions at the academies in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Edsberg.
Born in Spain, Ribera studied at the Conservatory of Barcelona and later at the Royal College of Music in London.
Appears regularly throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas, performing solo and chamber music recitals as well as with orchestras such as Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Leningrad Philarmonic, London Philarmonia, The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Spains National Orchestra, and with conductors such as Jascha Horenstein, Pierre Monteux, Sergiu Celibidache, Eduardo Mata, Eliahu Inbal, Esa Pekka Salonen, Juri Temirkanov, Leif Segerstam, Jan Krenz among others.
As a chamber musician, Jose Ribera has appeared together with Henrik Szeryng, Ida Haendel, Georgy Pauk, Erling Bløndal Bengtsson, Frans Helmersson, the Borodin Quartet, Birgit Nilsson and Elisabeth Söderström.
Has made numerous recordings for EMI, SR Records, Caprice, Danacord and Danica labels as well as for radio and television in many countries.
Many Spanish and Scandinavian composers have written works especially for him.
Professor Jose Ribera is in constant demand to teach international masterclasses worldwide.

Professor of piano; chair, the piano department at Jerusalem Academy of Music; a pivotal figure in the musical life of Israel, and especially of Jerusalem. Artistic director, the Targ Music Centre in Ein Karem, Jerusalem. Half a century ago, formed a piano duo with Bracha Eden, which became world-famous and remained active until Bracha Eden’s death last year. The duo studied with Victor Babin and Vitya Vronsky and won the international Vercelli duo competition in Italy. The worldwide performances and research by the Eden-Tamir Duo were instrumental in molding today’s approach to the artistry of duo pianism; their contribution to expanding duo repertoire was remarkable. Inter alia, they were responsible for introducing Lutoslawski’s Paganini Variations and, at the suggestion of Stravinsky, were the first to perform and record the two-piano version of “The Rite of Spring”. The duo’s many prizes include Grand prix du disque. Many compositions were especially written for, and premiered by, them. |

Was among the founders, in 1969, of the world-renowned Yuval trio, with which performed the world over and recorded for DGG, CBS Masterworks and other companies. He also established a piano duo with Irena Friedland, which performed and recorded to high critical praise. Served on juries of several important international competitions. One of the country's foremost violinists and chamber-music players. Has performed as a soloist with all Israel's orchestras, conducted by Zubin Mehta, Gerard Schwarz, Andre Kostelanetz, Rudolf Barshai, Sidney Harth, Lucas Foss and others. Participated in the Marlboro Chamber Music Festival, where she performed and recorded with Rudolf Serkin, Andras Schiff, Philipp Naegele and Felix Galimir among others; the Esbjerg Chamber Music Festival in Denmark; the Gotland Festival in Sweden; Kfar Blum Festival in Israel. Served as leader and soloist of the conductorless Ramat Hasharon Camerata Women's String Orchestra as well as the first violinist of the Gertler String Quartet, Tel Aviv. A graduate of Moscow's Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where studied with Boris Belenky and David Oistrakh.
